Park ranger was warning us against hypothermia, 15 minutes into the climb, I was much more worried about heat exhaustion! Now, where to carry that North Face fleece so it's not soaking wet ... do I sacrifice the camera equipment or the jacket. Guess which won.
Did I mention that it was also 3 miles back DOWN and 2,500 feet in elevation LOSS? Down makes my knees, feet and legs ache. Up makes me gasp for breath. Not entirely sure which is more difficult!
Many many more photo essays on this adventure to come, but for now, I need a shower & to look forward to tomorrow ... might need to do a bit of laundry before we head to Denali National Park to camp for 10 days!
