Today started off chilly, we put the new recut jib back on & waited for the tide so we could get out of the marina. Temps at 58 degrees with 16 mph winds from the NE convinced us to take a road trip to have lunch at the Rod & Gun Club in Everglades City, a "rare Olde Florida treasure" built in 1864. What a COOL old place! A walk on the Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk -- the guide said there was a bald eagle nest and I've been wanting a photo of a bald eagle. We saw one of the eagles, both in the nest and perched on a limb. My next goal is a bald eagle in flight! In the meantime, tomorrow is supposed to be warmer, so maybe we can go sailing to Cayo Costa!
