Another day dawns in our Florida Keys adventure. In the early morning light and still calm, David immediately notices a large lobster ensconced in a hole directly below our transom -- too bad lobster season ended March 31st -- literally 2 days ago! :(
There's absolutely NO wind, but the forecasts tell us a couple days from now it will be a different story, so we pull the anchor and set off back for Boot Key Harbor, Marathon, where we'll be protected from any nasty weather Mother Nature wants to throw at us.

Did I mention GLASS? :) But glass and shallow water also make for Mother Nature's perfect glass bottomed boat tour! Lots of people pay big money to go on a glass bottom boat tour not nearly this good! For the 4 hours back to Marathon, the auto pilot drove and David & I gawked into the clearest shallow water we've seen in a while. Hopefully not as good as we'll see in another week or so, but the best so far!
Vase sponges and turtle grass sit still for photos. Sea turtles, dolphins, reef fishies and other critters are not nearly as kind to photographers. But you can see how clear and shallow the water is! Can't wait until these few days of t-storms blow through and we can leave & go explore down the Keys... if we're lucky all the way to the Dry Tortugas!
